About this model
A little while ago during a Twitter conversation, somebody posted a photograph of a beautiful melanistic fox and suggested it might be a good subject for a model. I spent some time working out how to do the basic sculpt (quite easy) and then a multi material version (eek!) Melanistic is basically the opposite of albinism, so the a dark coloured pigment in the fox's skin dominates and the red fox ends up black, sometimes with a shimmery grey effect hence being called silver foxes. The little fox in the picture I used for reference had an interesting red patch thing going on.
