About this model
Medieval Cauldron / Cooking Pot This is a model of a cast-iron boiling pot like they used in the middle ages and beyond. Usually the pot was part of a castle's kitchen equipment or it was hung over an open fire with an improvised tripod and some chains. This model can be printed without the need for support. Because of the curved bottom of the cauldron, I have included a split 3D model that will print more smoothly when the lower part of the pot is being turned upside down on the build plate. The remainder of the pot (the upper part) can later be printed facing upwards and glued to the lower part. The inside of the pot has been designed to make use of bridging, ie when the slope of the pot reaches an angle of approx. 55 degrees a flat bottom comes in to top it off using bridging. Happy coo…
