My shop vac model SS14-500A came stock with a 1 1/4" diameter tube, and I recently upgraded to a 2 1/2" tube, so I made this adapter so I can still use my old 1 1/4" attachments. The actual measurements of my attachments have an ID of 1 1/4", and the 2 1/2" hose end has an OD of 2 1/4", so this adapter is made specifically for that.
