About this model

The fourth Swordmaster hilt takes its name from Joyeuse, a very real and legendary sword of Charlemagne and the ceremonial sword of French coronations. Over the centuries, Joyeuse became more than a weapon. It became a symbol of kingship, authority, and French royal power. This hilt attempts to capture that spirit in rapier form. Inspired by royal regalia, this hilt features a pierced cup hilt, trefoil quillons, a diamond-pattern grip, and fluted pommel. Joyeuse is designed for coronations, triumphal entries, dramatic speeches from balconies, and the occasional duel fought over a petty insult. The knucklebow is to be printed separately and glued into the slot on the underside of the quillon.
