About this model
I love magnetic phone mounts but wanted something a bit more secure for my car. With my current phone and case (Google Pixel 2 XL with Google Fabric Case) my magnetic mount would not have enough strength to hold it and it would eventually fall when going over rough streets. I decided to adapt my current magnetic mount so that I could still easily set my phone in with one hand but have something a bit more secure. First, I purchased this mount: I then unscrewed the magnet from the clamp where the ball joint is and then sandwiched the printed model in between. This has been working great and I havent been able to get my phone to fall since. This was designed for a Google Pixel 2 XL with a Google Fabric case but it could very well fit other phones.
