About this model

A drop-in replacement for a 5-pin DIN (MIDI) socket that puts a micro-USB breakout board in its place, using the panel's existing hole and both original screws. No drilling, no filing, and nothing about it is irreversible — pull it out and the DIN jack goes back in. The faceplate copies the flange profile of a standard DIN chassis socket: a round centre lobe with two screw lobes on 22 mm centres, about 33 × 21 mm overall and 3 mm thick, with every edge rounded. Behind it, a cradle holds a common micro-USB breakout (roughly 14.5 × 15 × 1.7 mm) with clearance holes in the floor for the solder pads, and a gusset underneath ties the board back to the plate so cable tugs go into the panel instead of into your joints.
