Named for plissé, the finely pressed pleating of couture fabric, the Plissé Vase is forty crisp knife pleats folded over the body of a spinning top. The pleats flare out over a sharp, wide shoulder low on the body, then gather back in up a long, slender neck to a small opening, like a skirt caught mid-twirl. As light moves across it, every fold catches a bright edge and drops a fine line of shadow, giving the surface a soft, tailored rhythm.
