About this model
Hello, Here is my wind turbine that is fully printed PLA. All other parts for assembly are easily found online or in stores. It is fully functional (it is still in process but I will put my page updated with new photos and comments) It is to "horizontal axis" therefore the more complex after the generator is the passage of electricity around the vertical axis. The trick is to cut the vertical axis (stainless steel tube) into two parts (connected to the two poles + and -) and fasten them together with a threaded rod in the center with an insulating sheath. Contacts are made with springs that rub on each stainless steel tubes. It consists of a helix made with simple wooden planks 10mm thick. It is very easy to build and very cheap.
