About this model

Five warp threads. One pickup. Less fiddling! If you've ever tried weaving leno patterns on a rigid heddle loom, you'll know that picking up and crossing individual warp threads can be a rather fiddly process. Especially when working across wider warps, where manipulating a long pickup stick becomes increasingly awkward. I designed this little 3D-printed tool to make that process easier. The Leno Pickup Comb has five evenly spaced hooks that allow you to catch and lift five lower warp threads simultaneously, crossing them over the upper threads before transferring them onto a pickup stick. Rather than reaching further and further across the warp, you work in small, manageable sections.
