About this model
Introduction -------------------------------------------- The purpose of this project was to create compact and light bearing holders that contain no play in them. The project originated when I noticed that the Igus RJ4JP bearings I put inside the aluminum housing had play in them which was apparent when handling the bed or the X carriage. I thought to eliminate this and also create a replacement for the aluminum bearing housing. I liked six101 design but I had some fit issues. I decided to use this as a base for my design. Design Considerations ---------------------------------- Some of the considerations I took when creating this was to make sure that the bearings would be in the same position they are as if they where in the aluminum housing.
