About this model
Inspired by the hairy lion: After printing, I used an x-acto knife to cut along the inner edge of the cylinder, so that most strands are left coming straight out the head (shown). I then discarded the cylinder. To melt the hair into place, I pointed a heat gun at the head for about 3 minutes or so while rotating it often. To modify this thing, download the hair.scad file, and download the HeadStand.stl from into the same directory as hair.scad. Then open hair.scad in OpenSCAD ( The hair_length variable can be used to control the radius of the cylinder and then the length of the hair. Images shown are with hair_length = 5.5, and the head scaled 3x from the original.
