A model of Danapoint Harbor as it was in 2002 using NOOA data - see thing:2820949. Dana, whom the harbor and city are named after, rapelled down the sheer cliff face near the cove in 1835, hanging onto a rope without any safety devices. He describes this feat in his book, "Two Years Before the Mast", Chapter XXIV. A replica of his ship, "The Pilgrim" is docked in the cove.
