Le New standalone a été pensé pour recevoir 3 types de carte mère : CR-10, CR-10S et Mks Gen 1.4. Néanmoins il est possible de rajouter d’autres cartes mères et d’adapter un support sur les ancrages existant. Le Mod Standalone est composé de deux parties principales, le grand boîtier (partie gauche) et le petit boîtier (partie droite). Dans le grand boîtier vous trouverez les ancrages pour votre alimentation, ceux pour les deux portes fusibles (Hotend et plateau chauffant) ainsi qu’un emplacement pour un relais SSR ou Mosfet. Dans le petit boîtier vous disposerez des emplacements pour une alimentation indépendante servant à alimenter le Raspberry Pi (220v/5v), ceux pour les trois types de carte mère, et enfin les ancrages pour votre Raspberry.
