About this model
Customizable (to some extent) Gear Sphere with custom logos. Screwless design using bearings (I had F608 flanged bearings on hand, adjust bearing dimensions accordingly). Work in progress. SCAD still needs a bit of tidying up, and I hope to automatically solve gear meshing for different numbers of gears without all the manual fudging required. The idea is to support only half of the gears with bearings and have the rest held in place by their neighbours, but this is proving to be a bit sensitive to tolerances. I might just put bearings on all gears. Also considering a fully printable option, with pins like emmett's thing:213946. Note: Not for printing assembled, complete model for illustrative purposes only.
