About this model
I wasn't quite satisfied with other Black Box designs I saw on the web, so I made my own. I decided to make each side an individual piece to be glued together in post-procesing to allow for a color change. This way, I have clear parts that the LEDs can shine through and black parts to block the light without having to do any priming/painting. One negative aspect of printing each wall flat: the faces are rougher than if they were printed vertically. Could always gently sand them down or chemically smooth them if it is worth your effort. If anyone has a multi-material 3D-printer, you could probably remix this and combine all sides (except the top) into one piece to get a nicer result. This makes a 10cm cube (roughly 4in).
