About this model
I bought a Tamron Adaptall2 lens just to remove the metal ring so I can repair another Tamron lens. I just couldn't throw away an otherwise perfectly good lens. Unscrew the three small screws, remove the flange, springs, lever, and plastic frame underneath. Attach this thing using the original screws taking note of the hole positions as it only goes on one way. This thing holds in the aperture control lever so that the ring operates fully manually the way I like it. Now with an M42 thread, you can use all of the wonderful adapters available especially the tilt-shift and macro focusing helicoids. The flange focal distance has been properly set to 45.46mm and any Tamron lens that this will fit on will focus to it's full range as long as your M42 adapter is not improperly designed to 45mm. Fo…
