About this model
This is a very simple spacer for panel-mounted potentiometers or rotary switches, with a notch for the locating pin. I used this for some home-made panels made out of 1.5mm aluminium. This moves the potentiometer down a bit so the locating tab does not interfere with the panel, and also makes the knob sit closer to the panel surface without having to cut the shaft. In most cases friction is enough to keep it from rotating, but the spacer can be glued to the panel so that the locating tab and notch line up in the desired position. Included are STL files for 2.8 and 2.0mm potentiometer spacers, as well as one for a larger rotary switch. SCAD files are easily tweaked for desired dimensions.
