About this model
Screw jacks for supporting the bed of K40 laser cutters. Materials: 5/16-18 threaded rod (12") Brass 5/16-18 nuts from Home Depot 3mm socket head cap screws ~20mm 1.5" round metal disk to prevent the laser from damaging the 3d printed components. To build, cut 5/16-18 threaded rod to the length of the top and bottom parts at minimum height. Then dremel a slot into one end for a flat head screw driver. Install the brass nuts into the base component, this should be press fit and may need to be hammered in. Screw the threaded rod into the base, leave an inch and a half or so out of the top. Use a screwdriver from the back to keep the rod from spinning and heat up the end with a lighter, screw the top component onto the threaded rod.
