About this model
Hey. This is another functional-fix that I did for a personal project but it might be helpful to those of you with BMW's of the same era. The problem is that the plastic slider bushing thing on the rear window regulators gives way and splits in two. You'll often find the remnants of it in the bottom of the door. This causes the glass to move sidewards when moving up/down and can damage the rubbers by causing them to fold inwards. The part isn't available as a replacement piece as it is riveted to the regulator so I designed this part in such a way that it can be installed without removing the rivet. It simply replaces the original 1-piece item with a new 2-piece part. Installation is pretty straightforward and it should hold position by friction alone, although I opted to stick a rubber o-…
