I know it seems strange, but trust me, it not only makes sense, but it's really, really handy. This is not mounted in my bathroom, this roll of toilet paper isn't destined for the usual purpose. I often need a small amount of paper towel to clean up some small thing, and an entire paper towel is more than I need. I would tear a paper towel into smaller pieces, but at one point I realized that TP was exactly what I needed - a smaller piece of paper towel that I could use for small clean up jobs.
