About this model
#####A hand held or base mounted steady cam for the GoPro Hero 3. This is unusual because it is servo/motor free and there is no counter balance underslung weight either. The vibrations and pitch/roll are dampened out by the use of an overhead pot, filled with a suitable easily sourced medium (see instructions). Originally designed for mounting onto my DJI 450 Quadcopter, however with the addition of the clip in handle (removable), it becomes a hand held steady cam too. I designed and printed this as a proof of concept. I wanted to push further the idea of a print in place assembly for the main body component, and to inspire. EDIT 15/05/2014 : Uploaded STEP file of the assembly, in case anyone wants to make any edits.
