About this model
This is version 2 of my Steamdeck Grip project. I designed this grip extension to improve the ergonomics of the steamdeck, at least as far as my own hands go. I felt that the deck grips were a bit too small and awkward to hold, especially when using the trackpads a lot. On the first version, I tried to achieve a similar grip style to the original Steam Controller, but I then realised that the Steamdeck is a very different thing altogether. The controls are not laid out the same, so that hand position doesn't work here as well. The new version is closer to the form of the deck shell itself, but it extends the finger holds to allow your hands to fully grip around. For my hands, the stock grip shape leaves the pinky fingers with nothing to hold on to, and it start to feel uncomfortable very q…
