About this model
-These are 3D printable 9mm links I designed for a belt fed firearm. It is my goal to design and build my own belt fed rifle that can shoot them. I chose 9mm because it is the cheapest centerfire ammunition. I encourage anyone who is interested to attempt their own design, I'd love to collaborate. -Make the belt segments as long as you like, connect the break away links at both ends. This is a hybrid between American machine gun disintegrating links which are difficult to load and reuse, and European machine gun 50/100 round belts which hang too far out of the rifle when empty to run and move with. -I like the size of 10 round segments because they're easy to pick up and load but they won't hang out of the gun more than 6" before dropping off. -To assemble your belts, print your links and …
