When you want to solder two cables together and dont have four arms to both solder and hold the cables. All kind of cables fit into the different slots. A "helping hand" can damage your cables, especially if the cables are hot. This design will protect your cables from that issue. Put them in, and solder in the middle. Update: There are now two files, One ends with "Short base", its 9mm shorter base than the original. Thanx everyone for your positive response!!
