About this model
This is a 1:29 motorized Southern Pacific version of the OpenRailway EMD SW 1500. I made a number of modifications to the design in order to make it easier for me to print. I made the following modifications: I removed the "turret" openings for the non-powered trucks and made the openings smaller to accommodate USA Trains R22-115 motor block brackets. I moved the frame "rails" farther apart and made them less tall in order to accommodate the USA Trains motor block rotation. I added additional holes for the wiring to pass through from the USA Trains power trucks to the interior of the locomotive. I split the two-part base frame into four parts by separating the steps from the rest of the frame. The two parts are fastened together using M4 bolts. Separating the steps allow both the base and …
