About this model
As the title says, this is an over-engineered drybox. I have uploaded 2 versions of the base; a version with no mounting holes and a version with (2) M5 clearance holes in the bottom. If you opt for the version with mounting holes there is a file named "M5 Seal Ring" you can print out of TPU to act as a seal if you want. I printed the "pivot bushings" out of TPU to sandwich between the hinge joints. The bushings are optional but make the opening and closing of the hinge have more resistance which makes it feel much nicer. For the 8mm rod in the spool rollers I used a section of scored up smooth rod i had laying around. You can do the same, source some 8mm rod, or print the rods...STL file is attached.
