About this model
This project was inspired by those cool IKEA shelf to monitor stand hacks I've seen floating around, though this one is designed for us Aussies. It was cheap to make, super easy to print and I think it'll look great on any modern desk with its clean aesthetic. So, instead of an IKEA shelf, the timber section is a joined piece of 1200 x 300 x 18mm Havea that I grabbed as a single piece from Bunnings Warehouse for just over $20. I then cut this piece down to 1000mm to better suit my desk and designed the legs around the board. This piece was then sanded and coated with two layers of beeswax, with buffing inbetween.
