The Freeform Crochet Die is a free printable 3D model from Thingiverse by queenpossum. I'm fairly new to crochet after decades of knitting, and while keeping up with the counting still gets to me, I love the sheer possibilities with the medium. You can download the STL file from the original listing below and print it at home.
About this model
I'm fairly new to crochet after decades of knitting, and while keeping up with the counting still gets to me, I love the sheer possibilities with the medium. The randomness of freeform crochet piqued my curiosity early on, but the thought of coming up with my own designs on the fly was daunting. Then I got the idea for a die to guide your stitches. All the basics are here (single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, slip stitch, and chain). Pair it with another D(n) for some truly random creations, or just use it to choose something new for each row or round.
