About this model
This model is based on a digital reconstruction of Michelangelo's Pietà. The sculpture is located in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Digital reconstruction was made as part of the Scan the World project and published on the MyMiniFactory website. My contribution is only to make such a cross-section of the model that it is possible to print it on a 3D printer without using supports. Connecting pins and holes can help align parts of the model when glued. Another cut of the same model was previously proposed by icefox1983: The prints presented in the photos were made on a 50%, 37.5% and 25% scale (height: 14.9 cm, 11.2 cm, 7.4 cm).
