About this model
This part is for an Ekornes Stressless sofa. Issue: When reclining the chair makes a loud annoying clang sound. Diagnosis: The plunger endcap for the inner telescoping tube of the glide rod assembly is broken and is lodged at the bottom of the outer tube. As the inner tube slides off of the plunger the tube makes the sound. Solution: Remove and replace endcap. Only the full replacement of the inner tube assembly is available at approximately $65 per tube and two are needed per sliding seat. I designed a part that replaces the broken black plastic piece and holds the white plastic seal.
