About this model
The sound of the Amazon Fire TV Cube is the weakest of any of the Alexa-enabled Amazon products. I suspect it's because the Cube is designed to have the power of the connected TV and/or AV home theater system at it's disposal for playing music etc, so they skimped out hard on the crappy buitin speaker and unlike the full-sounding Dot, the Cube doesn't have an AUX jack for connecting an external speaker. Even with volume at max, our Cube was hard to hear with the down-firing speaker resonating on the wooden shelf, and since we don't require sound to the sides or rear of the unit, I whipped this horn stand up for the Cube in OpenSCAD and the improvement is astonishing.
