About this model
Gear and motor box are configurable in transmission ratio and mounting options. The project is demonstrated for the Stephenson locomotive published here: The motor is a very tiny 12V motor with 200rpm. You can get it at also for different voltages and rpm. The gear presented here reduces the rpm again by 1:2. I choosed the 12V Version of this motor because a want to run the locomotive with current slider contacts on the standard LGB rails. Currently the locomotive runs with a 9V accumulator. I used this motor: Version 2 released: Motor box modified to encapsulate the gear of the motor. The last two pictures show the Version 2 mounted and the parts. Version 3.1 released. See extra section below.
