Many adapters re-use the head and prisms of the microscope which leads to loss of light and aberrations, this direct mount projects the microscope's image directly onto the sensor giving the best picture possible. The dovetail on the microscope side is "standard" sized for Olympus heads, ~42mm wide at the bottom, 6mm deep and with a 60 degree angle. It should fit most eBay microscopes as well.
