About this model
This is a sealed speaker design based on the Dayton CX120-8 coaxial driver and a simple three-component crossover. The simulated FR with the crossover on axis and 15 degrees off axis is shown in the pictures. The enclosure volume is 1.65 liters and the walls are 8mm thick. The wire is routed throguh the stand and can be connected to binding posts at the bottom. I recommend at least 20% infill density to get decent weight in the enclosures but since they are sealed speakers and don't play very low bass, they don't need to be very massive. I used a two component epoxy to glue the stand and the top together. A subwoofer is required to get good bass, crossing over at about 130Hz.
