About this model
This scan depicts the ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor, considered the primeval goddess from whom all others were derived. She is usually depicted as a woman with the head of a cow, in cow-form or, in this instance at The Louvre, with the ears of a cow. She was closely related to the divine cow Mehet-Weret, a sky goddess whose name means "Great Flood" and who was thought to bring the inundation of the Nile River which fertilized the land. Note the flower motifs on the headdress of this depction, a feature commonly used by Sumerians. 3D scan of an artifact from the Louvre Museum, Paris.
