The Anet A8 X Axis Tensioner is a free printable 3D model from Thingiverse by Luke_O. I wasn't a big fan of the x-tensioners that were available, so I decided to make my own. You can download the STL file from the original listing below and print it at home.
About this model
I wasn't a big fan of the x-tensioners that were available, so I decided to make my own. Not saying its better, its just what I personally wanted. So this one uses the factory mount on the side of the x carriage furthest from the stepper, and this assembly replaces the one closest to the stepper. I utilized two M3X20mm long bolts to attach to the carriage and a M3X25mm as the tensioner bolt. Notes: 1. Put the tensioner bolt in the slide prior to attaching the belt. 2. When attaching the belt make sure the "heads" of the zip ties are facing the extruder (see picture). If you don't they will make contact with the rest of the printer.
