About this model
With Easter coming up, I thought I would work on my extremely limited design skills by making an R2D2 egg. It is not the most elegant design you will ever find as I am limited by both skill and software, but I was satisfied enough that I thought it was worth sharing. The R2D2 is nearly an exact copy from MrManBLC with only a slight modification to try to help him print better without supports. The egg was made in Tinkercad from scratch, with the exception of the hinge which was borrowed from andyosier. Both objects printed fine for me at 0.2 resolution and 20% infill and with no supports. I have printed both objects at full size and at 70% with no issues. Update 3/16/18 - Added an egg with both sides solid. This is just in case someone wants to make their own cutout and object.
