We are building a solar water heater for our hot tub, and so we needed fittings for it. This fits the black plastic 1/2 inch irrigation hose. The valve connector requires 3 O-rings. There is an image showing where they go. I just bought a box of Variety Sized O-rings on Amazon for about $10
