About this model

Watch here: For today's #3DPrintmas Entry we have Gastly from Pokemon. Gastly and the evolutions are some of my favorites from the first generation of Pokemon. So I knew that Gastly was an easy shape for the most part, I just didn't know how I was going to do the gas cloud. So I just started modeling. I went into the sculpting environment, pulled out a sphere and just started pulling areas and pushing others in and I just made sure it came into contact with the main sphere. Eventually I got a shape I was happy with that was pretty much just a blob. Then I printed it out (settings below) and my wife painted it up. After she did a bunch of repairing the print with repair putty and filler primer, she painted it up using an airbrush for the purple of the cloud, and a paintbrush for the black o…
