This Japanese white porcelain carp features a Louis XV style gilt bronze mount, originating from the 19th Century. Catalogue Note - A comparable blanc de chine carp surmounted by the figure of a sage and raised on a very similar Louis XV gilt bronze base. It is illustrated in G.
