About this model
Photogrammetry Scan. This bronze bust is a depiction of the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, placed on permanent display outside of the Madeira airport (now the Cristiano Ronaldo airport) in Madrid. The sculpture, produced by contemporary artist Emanuel Santos, received mixed responses upon its unveiling on the 29th March 2017 with many passing off the stylized charicature as comical. Santos responded to said comments by stating, "It is impossible to please the Greeks and Trojans. Neither did Jesus please everyone," Presenting the celebrity with a likeness to his iconic, confident gaze, the sculptor was confident with his work, adding to state that Ronaldo only asked for minor changes as to make the bust appear more youthful.
