About this model
This is my version of a direct drive setup for the Ender 3, CR10, CR10S, CR10S4 and CR10S5 using a BMG extruder and E3D V6 hotend. I designed this with the intention of the BMG extruder being coupled directly to the E3D V6 hotend without a piece of PTFE bridging the gap. I also wanted a setup that allowed easy access to the BMG extruder and kept a minimal footprint. This is not designed to work with the stock hotend or a Micro Swiss style hotend.This design also uses the stock cooling fan found on the E3D V6 to keep the overall profile small. The part cooling fan comes in 2 styles. One is designed to fit a 3mm x 5.5mm knurled nut insert. The other uses a nut pocket for a 3mm hex nut.
