About this model
The idea for this design came from something I saw on the Antiques Roadshow TV show. The real object was much larger, but I wanted to do a test first to make sure everything worked. I made the basic shape from a series of ellipses used as control curves for a single Loft surface. I tried a few different methods of applying the outside surface decoration, but none of them looked as good as this one. You might want to scale the up the STL file for a larger end result.
