About this model
This mounting clip is designed for routing the LIFX Z LED Light Strip, but could ostensibly fit other LED strips with a width of ~12mm. The clip has a cutout to receive a thumbtack with a ~10mm diameter head, and the wings on either side help the installer to apply force when penetrating the mount surface. Where additional insertion force is necessary, the thumbtack's head has been left exposed via a circular window, such that a screwdriver or other implement can be used to apply pressure. My use case was for mounting to the bottom of a television entertainment center. During installation, I found that the faux-wood finish on the furniture made it difficult for the thumbtack alone to penetrate.
