The head features a rough, battered surface with pitting, dents and an uneven cutting edge, while the wooden handle has been sculpted to complement the aged look.* At full size, the assembled prop measures approximately 370 mm (14.6 in) tall, from the bottom of the handle to the top of the blade, with the hatchet head approximately 152 mm (6 in) wide. This puts the model very close to the scale of hatchets examined during the Borden investigation and trial.…
