Unfortunately, because they use the front camera it's quite difficult to get a good scan without being able to see the screen. There are various parts available that use a mirror assembly to make the process more convenient but I find they degrade the scan quality due to not being 100% reflective or scattering the dot projection.These apps all make use of the gyro to know whether they are being rotated around an object and so a stationary phone holder with a turntable for the object won't work…
