About this model
I'm playing around with vapor smoothing with acetone, and i'm trying to come up with a method that's reasonably safe but also effective. ( Maybe if I figure it out i'll make a different post… :) ) To do this, I need some good practice models, so I remixed this Mother's day statue/art to include hidden holes to use as posts.As shown in the pictures, I use M4 sized screws to hold up the model off a platform in an acetone vapor chamber and prevent ugly artifacts where the model touches the platform. I also changed the base to have a gentle chamfer and fillet to it.Since this remix is an old-school mesh style remix in Fusion360 , I only have a 3MF to provide instead of a STEP or other fancy CAD file.Still haven't fully solved issues related to my acetone chamber and dripping.. but this model i…
