About this model

I like the idea of hedgehog pencil holders I found online , but was unhappy with how they were designed. Specifically, I really didn't love that you couldn't put a pencil pointy-tip-down and keep it from resting on the tip. So I designed this hedgehog pencil holder based on a hedgehog mesh I found here: . I “solidified” the mesh with the crude mesh-to-solid method in Fusion360 and inserted some pencil-hole solids I modeled. Then I subtracted those solids out to create holes with relief for the points. I also put some recessions underneath the base for adding optional rubberized pads to help it stay put/ keep from sliding around a smooth surface. I fit-tested with standard Ticonderoga school pencils, and it's a snug but forgiving fit that ensures your sharpened pencil tips won't break on in…
