About this model
Dress up your X-wing miniatures game with 3 dimensional asteroids. The files included are the stands needed to mount your custom asteroids. There are two different styles of stands: The first set is a close approximation of the six different asteroid pieces that come with the game (suitable when playing with rules lawyers). The second set consists of large, medium, small, and tiny sized circular bases. Once you print out the bases you'll need some asteroids. You don't want to 3-D print your asteroids, instead use lava rocks commonly available for landscaping. I picked mine up off the ground at a mini-golf course and a Home Depot parking lot. Lava rocks are lighter than 'normal' rocks so the stands won't tip over easily and you can drill holes in them without too much trouble. Finally, ever…
