About this model
Some experiments with parametrics "knots", based on epicycles pedal curves (see: ). When trying to connect more than three knots to build a bidimensional continuous pattern (a kind "fabric") a strong constraint became obvious: you can only connect a loop to another one, and that cancels out the possibility of a simple surface filling pattern (if we see the knots as triangles). Exploring how much I can fill the space with these knots I arrived naturally to the Sirperkinski triangle, it simply emerged from trying to connect as much knots as possible. I'm attaching the OpenSCAD (free software) file. The function that draws the knot is epi.
